About Stu

Stu spent his early years growing up in Manhattan, New York City. His first taste of playing an instrument came at the age of nine when he developed an interest in music and began playing the trumpet. His knack for performing and picking up new instruments easily led him to keep his musical interest.

Stu later moved to Chicago where he found new interests in the guitar and bass. Moving around a lot growing up, Stu had many influences on his life and his music; probably none more so than that of Randy Rhoads, Gary Moore, George Lynch and Eddie Van Halen, some of Stu’s musical inspirations. After hearing and seeing Randy Rhoads perform, Stu knew that he wanted to follow music.

With an education from the Guitar Institute of Technology in Hollywood, California and the renowned Berklee College of Music in Boston under his belt, Stu became a full-time guitar instructor and performer. To continue his education, Stu also obtained a BS in Marketing from Metropolitan State College, where he was awarded the Colorado Scholar's Award.

Stu’s exposure to various styles and types of music coupled with his travels throughout the world give him an incredible insight into producing fantastic arrangements and spectacular pieces. His dedication and passion show through in every performance.

Onstage some of Stu’s ventures were with bands such as Denver original band Thrill Street, and Vendetta, a cover band also from Denver. When Vendetta’s front man retired from the scene, the rest of the band split off into several different bands landing Stu in Wishdoctor performing a mix of covers and original music.
